Alright everyone, let’s talk holiday entertaining. If you’re the host for holiday gatherings, do you dread it? Or do you eagerly anticipate it? I’m often the one who hosts the holidays (I’m a recipe developer, it’s kind of implied that I make a lot of food, so people just show up in droves to my home – I can’t stop it now that it’s tradition!).
Whether you have overnight guests who need something to munch on while you’re hard at work on the menu, guests who show up early with grumbling tummies, or you just want to make sure you have some appetizers out while you put the final touches on the meal, here are a few easy gluten-free snacks you didn’t know you needed for the holidays!
If ever there was a company truly designed for entertaining with appetizers and snacks, it’s Les Trois Petits Cochons (or Three Little Pigs). They have charcuterie like chorizo, jambon sec (dry cured ham), and salami. They have cornichons, terrines, and pates. And their newest addition, one of my favorite snacks, is their sous vide eggs — cooked egg bites made with ingredients like mushrooms & swiss, prosciutto & gruyere, spinach & feta, and more. While all of their products can be mixed and matched for a unique appetizer spread, the sous vide egg bites are perfect for overnight guests who might wake up and want something to eat while you’re busy prepping food for your holiday meal (we all know that some of us eat “dinner” at the holidays at 2pm, so why spoil the early feast by getting stuffed at breakfast?). They aren’t just good for breakfast, but for any time of day as a snack.
Please note that while their sous vide eggs are completely gluten-free, not all Les Trois Petits Cochons products are gluten-free. Please check the individual product info before consuming.

We all have those snackers who just won’t stop. Usually, it’s the kids or teenagers in the family. Chips and crackers are often a go-to for kid snacks and, or course, these are popular when entertaining guests, too. Chips are oftentimes not the healthiest option, and you wouldn’t want anyone to spoil their appetite before the big holiday meal, so instead I suggest Bohana popped water lily seeds. I know what you’re thinking – what are popped water lily seeds? Well, they have a similar size to popcorn and are probably best compared to popcorn, but yet they also have a puffy rice cake type of texture. They’re kind of difficult to describe but that’s a pretty good representation. They’re sort of airy, too, which makes them a lighter option for snacking. If the kids can’t stop popping these into their mouths, they likely won’t spoil their appetite because Bohana feels so light and healthy. They’re available in Pink Himalayan Salt, Wild White Cheddar, and Soulful Spice.
They’re corn-free, grain-free, non-GMO, and Kosher. The Himalayan Salt and Soulful Spice varieties are also top 8 allergen-free, vegan, and Paleo.

If your holiday dinner is actually going to be closer to dinner time and you need something to hold you and the kids over for the day, or if you need something a bit more substantial as an appetizer, Starlite Cuisine’s taquitos are a fun, delicious way to go! These gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO taquitos are available in beef style, chicken style, and chorizo and black bean style. Pop them in the oven for 20 minutes and out comes some crispy, flavorful taquitos that you and your guests can enjoy. Make some dipping sauces from scratch, like a chimichurri, guacamole, or salsa, and garnish with some chopped cilantro for a semi-homemade appetizer spread! Little life hacks like this are what help to make the holidays run smoother and a little less stressful.

For about a year or so now, ParmCrisps have been a go-to of mine for snacking, entertaining guests, and more. I’ve introduced my family and friends to this delicious cracker alternative and everyone I’ve shown these to has loved them! These are great for holiday entertaining because they’re naturally gluten-free and grain-free, are keto-friendly, and contain 0 carbs, making them ideal for a variety of diets. They’re good as-is or you can build appetizers with them or put together a charcuterie board with them as part of it. Available in original, jalapeño, sesame, pizza, cheddar, sour cream & onion, everything (like the bagel), Italian herb, basil pesto, rosemary, and prosciutto.
